Here is a sneak peak of Chapter 2 where you meet Olivia Wolfe, investigative journalist and the central character:

Olivia Wolfe’s head slams into the passenger window, dislodging the scarf that conceals her Western features, as the dented Toyota Corolla – Kabul’s favourite car – bounces out of a pot hole. Hastily covering her head, she fails to notice she is being watched by an old, bearded Mesher in a black turban standing at the roadside, who raises a mobile phone to his ear.
‘Can’t we go any faster?’ she asks Shinwari.

Devour gets a mention on the ABC’s The Book Club

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw my very own thriller, Devour, held up by Jennifer Byrne on the ABC’s The Book Club (Series 10, episode 9, broadcast 19 July 2016).  To find this segment of the show go to 17 minutes and 30 seconds. Jennifer challenges her guests to guess the genre of a number of books based on their cover design. Jason Steger, Literary Editor of The Age, guessed correctly! But the quote of the show has to be from Jennifer when she says with a wicked smile, ‘I do love that gore down the spine!’ This really made my day!
